Software Setup
Axis Studio Settings
Click Main Menu --> Settings --> BVH Broadcasting
- Enable Capture for live data or Edit for prerecorded data.
- Skeleton: Axis Studio
- Enable Displacement
- Coordinate System: NUE
- Protocol: UDP
- Local Address: 127.0.0.1:7003
- Destination Address: 127.0.0.1:7001
- Click OK to apply the settings
Axis Neuron/Axis Neuron Pro Settings
- Click File --> Settings
- Output Format
- Displacement: Enabled
- Broadcasting
- Protocol: UDP
- Udp Ips: 255.255.255.255
- BVH: Enabled
- Serverport: 7003
- ClientPort: 7002 (port used for C4D plugin)
- Output Format
- Click OK to apply the settings.
Installation
- Download the Cinema 4D Plugin here: Neuron Mocap Live for C4D
- In Cinema 4D, go to Edit --> Preferences
- Click Open Preferences Folder...

Unzip the plugin package in the C4D plugins folder
- Restart Cinema 4D and go to Extensions --> Neuron Mocap Live
Neuron Mocap Live Setup
In C4D go to Extensions --> Neuron Mocap Live
- Protocol: UDP or TCP
- IP:
- UDP: Use 255.255.255.255 or 127.0.0.1
- IP: Use 127.0.0.1 or the static IP
- Port
- Axis Studio: Destination Address
- Axis Neuron/Pro: ClientPort
- Skeleton:
- Axis Studio - PN Studio/ PN3,
- Axis Legacy - PN Pro / PN32
- Create Skeleton
- The Name listed under Character should match the Character Name in the Sensor Map in Axis Studio/Axis Neuron
- Click Connect to start streaming
Import a custom character
- Go to File --> Merge Project, and select your character
- Click OK
- Click No
- Right click on the skeleton and select Neuron Mocap Live
- Click on Detect Joints Map, check that everything remapped properly
- Make sure the Name matches the name of the Axis Studio data
- Click on the thumb and change R.H to 30 and R.P to -40 or whatever creates this pose for your character
- Click Set T-Pose
- Enable Scale Root Position
- Click Connect
